For Friday (11:45)

ello all,

Today, we did a little exercise about the color blue and creativity. Here is a really cool link that picks up on similar ideas related to the exercise (http://www.truecolorscareer.com/quiz.asp).

We then shifted to our knowledge nugget which was to write one good paragraph about the connections between Book II of the Metamorphosis and Vogler's ideas about the writer's journey. Following the construction of the paragraph, we switched texts and highlighted the various claims and evidences that we saw in our peer's paragraphs. The connections between being a good writer and being a good reader is integral to developing your ability to analysis and to construct ideas and thoughts. Here is an essay that discusses the relationship.

We then moved to the computers to initiate Project Two. We went to moodle and then went to Project 2 I-search. Using the questions that we had created from our freewriting exercise, we began to really think about our passions as scholars. Remember, you are all scholars in a community. As a scholar in a community, you will have the ability to use research as evidence to support your claims about issues, and ultimately, you will present a view that warrants the reception or at least the respect for your research and ideas.

For Class on Friday:

Read: I urge you to look at the essay attached to the email and posted on the blog

Write: 1 and 2 of the I-Search.

Do: Bring I-Search to class.

Take care, and thanks,

Kat
